We've supported more than 30,000 young people in Sussex by boosting their self-belief and aspirations with the help of our amazing network of over 1,200 local business volunteers
Who we are
The Love Local Jobs Foundation is a registered Charity that was formed in March 2023 as a continuation of the work previously delivered by the LoveLocalJobs Foundation C.I.C. (Community Interest Company) which has helped to inspire over 30,000 young people in Sussex.

The C.I.C. was launched by our founders Gary and Kate Peters in 2018 with support from ambassador Harry Redknapp and other influential individuals from the local community. Since then the C.I.C. has worked with over 1,000 business volunteers from leading local employers, to help considerably raise the life and career aspirations of our next generation across Sussex.

Our new charitable status will allow us to enhance our mission of supporting and empowering local young people. We'll continue to partner with ethical employers, educational institutions, and public sector entities to provide even more opportunities for the next generation of talent in our communities. Additionally, we'll focus on delivering essential support to those who need it most. Becoming a registered Charity is a significant step towards creating a positive impact in the lives of even more young people.

We love what we do. We are the Love Local Jobs Foundation.

Our aim
To create a community where every young person is inspired and empowered to become their best self
What we do

We collaborate with socially responsible companies, government bodies, academic institutions, and youth organisations to deliver transformative opportunities for local young people. We inspire and equip the next generation of talent in our communities with essential skills for the modern workforce, elevate their ambitions, and empower them to unlock their full potential in all aspects of life.

We believe that everybody, whatever their barriers, can achieve great things. Supported by amazing businesses, we will ensure that every young person we interact with has the experiences, tools, confidence and inspiration they need to realise their full potential.

Our fundraising activities support various innovative and exciting projects such as our inspirational, local celebrity led programme, Dare to Dream. The programmes give young people the tools, confidence and self-belief to realise their full potential.

We create and collaborate on innovative and inspirational programmes which align our mission and values, working within the communities we serve to help create phenomenal futures for our local next generation of talent.
The Love Local Jobs Foundation has thus far relied predominantly on the generosity of local sponsors and donors to help make these projects a reality. The investment of local philanthropy, resources and invaluable experience has helped set over 30,000 local young people onto stronger and more positive pathways. Alongside our new charitable status and a challenging time for society it is hoped that we will be able to support even more young people over the years to come.
Everybody is a genius. But if you judge a fish by its ability to climb a tree, it will live its whole life believing that it is stupid.

Helping everyone
Each programme is designed to create a brighter future for our local communities by encouraging and preparing the next generation workforce for personal and professional success.
We specifically work with young people to raise aspirations, enhance self-belief and provide employability led experiences.
We collaborate with ethical local employers from the private, public and voluntary sectors to power our programmes.
We facilitate experiences for thousands of local young people every year by working in partnership with educational institutions across the region.
We also work closely with local authorities, community organisations, youth groups and complimentary local charities.
Where we've come from
Our Chair of Trustees Gary Peters founded BrightonandHoveJobs.com in September 2010 to help signpost local people towards rewarding job opportunities and career paths with the region's leading employers. Our passion for supporting young people in particular was fueled by Gary's frustrations in his own younger years when he felt disconnected from opportunities that would enable him to discover and realise his potential.
Having expanded BrightonandHoveJobs.com into the Sussex wide platform LoveLocalJobs.com the opportunity to begin leveraging the goodwill of local businesses and influencers within the Jobs Board network to positively impact young people and support them to fulfil their untapped potential was the next logical step. After several digital projects our first in-person employability-led programme for young people was piloted in 2014 leading to the launch of the Love Local Jobs Foundation as a Community Interest Company in 2018.

Now in 2023 with our new Charitable status we are excited to continue our journey and to help even more young people to fulfil their personal and professional potential.
