Dare to Dream Round up - July Newsletter

To our Love Local Jobs Foundation community and network of supporters,

Our final Dare to Dream event of the 2022/23 school year took place in July and what an absolutely fantastic year it's been!

With your support, we've been able to put on more events than ever before and deliver the programme to over 6,000 incredible young people 💜

To see this year's cohort so engaged with the messages we've delivered and to watch them grow in confidence and to start getting excited about their potential and future prospects has been so inspiring!

The team will be working hard over the summer to continue refining and developing the programme using the invaluable feedback and learnings from our young people, mentors and teachers.

We absolutely love this part of the process and are already well underway with shaping our plans for the 2023/24 academic year and doing our very best to ensure all of our wonderful students, schools, businesses and mentors get an even better experience next year.

Until then, we'll leave you with a roundup of some of the highlights from July and for the year as a whole...

July's Workplace Visit

A big thank you to the team at HUMAN for hosting the students from Oakwood Secondary School and for putting on such an engaging and hands-on day for all the students involved 👏

It's been a truly remarkable year and we feel very grateful that we’ve been able to work with so many incredible people.

Whilst we’re incredibly proud of the number of young people we’ve been able to support this year and the continued growth in the reach of the programme, it's the impact of the core themes and witnessing the programme in action that's been the most rewarding part of this year's Dare to Dream.

The Love Local Jobs Foundation team can only do what we do and support the next generation across Sussex thanks to the time, commitment and generosity that you’ve all poured into our programme.

We’re determined to continue making our work increasingly accessible, so if you’ve been involved this year, or you've followed what we've been doing and you'd like to support in the future, please do get in touch and spread the word within your own networks - we'd LOVE to hear from anyone who might be able to helps us do even more next year 😊

Follow our news and updates via our LinkedIn and Instagram pages.

Thanks again!
