Dare to Dream Roundup - May Newsletter

To our Love Local Jobs Foundation community and network of supporters,

What a cracking month we had in May. The last few weeks have seen the team deliver Dare to Dream events to over 1,400 incredible young people across Sussex and get up to plenty behind the scenes with a number of our wonderful sponsors and schools. We announced some pretty big news for the Foundation too which we're excited about - more on that below...

With the final weeks of the school Summer Term coming into view, we're pleased to say there's still lots to look forward to and lots of Dare to Dream events still to take place!

So, in the meantime, here's a look back at some of the highlights from May...

Former Brighton & Hove Albion Captain Adam Virgo Joins the Love Local Jobs Foundation on a Permanent Basis!

We were delighted to announce that former Brighton & Hove Albion Football Club captain and current Sky Sports, ITV and TNT Sports pundit and co-commentator, Adam Virgo, has joined the Love Local Jobs Foundation on a permanent basis!

Adam's unique and inspiring story, as well as his experiences in professional football and the media, perfectly complement the messages at the heart of the Dare to Dream programme - we couldn't be more excited that he's become a permanent fixture in our team ❤️

Know a business that shares our vision?

We’re always on the lookout for new businesses to sponsor Dare to Dream, help us deliver more programmes and support even more young people across Sussex.

If you can introduce us to someone you know at a business that's looking to do more to engage with their local community and empower their staff, we’d love to hear from you!

We had so many great events take place in May. A big thank you to all the amazing people participating from Focus Group, 247, Rolls-Royce Motor Cars, EDF and Clarke Roofing for your involvement in May's Dare to Dream programmes.

Here's a look at some of the things they and the students got up to...

Feedback we just had to share!

It's genuinely inspiring to see the transformation in students and the powerful impact the assemblies and one-to-one sessions have throughout the Dare to Dream programme!

Every single volunteer mentors plays such a huge role in building positivity and giving the students the tools and confidence to go on and create amazing futures for themselves.

You guys make such a difference and that's why we love hearing feedback like this👇

To all the mentors and everyone else behind the scenes that work so hard to make the Dare to Dream programme so impactful, thank you so much for all your hard work.

And of course, thank you to everyone who continues to support us and share our messages!
